Welcome to Mt. Bachelor!
Bachelor Ascent is a volcanic alpine running celebration featuring Mt. Bachelor’s famous scenery, rugged terrain and mountain hospitality. Race day features three insanely scenic and challenging loop courses of 50K, 28K, 16K and a straight up Vertical Ascent 5K, with each race ascending to the the 9000’ summit of Mt. Bachelor!

The registration fee includes a beautiful, fully marked race course (by the Race Director), awesome staging venue, parking, chip timing and results, full service aid stations, medical support and communications, post race food and beverages, custom finisher award, livestream production, professional photography and several other essential services and requirements we don't need to mention.
The registration fee does not include a race shirt, hat or other add-on sales. Please review the Daybreak Racing Cancellation Policy if you have questions about withdrawing from the race, race credit, etc.
Pro/Elite Runners
We reserve a limited number of entries for professional athletes. Email us before July 1st if you earn all or some of your living racing on trails, have a competitive resumé and are willing to help us promote the event in a meaningful way.

Bib Pickup (optional): 3:30-5:30PM at FootZone in Bend. Visit with our sponsors, partners and supporters, plus pick up your race bib and pre-paid swag.

Getting Here
Location
The event is located entirely at Mt. Bachelor Ski Area within the Deschutes National Forest, 20 minutes west of Bend, Oregon.
Travel
Nearest major airport is Portland Int’l Airport (PDX)
Regional airports include Bend/Redmond (RDM) and Eugene (EUG)
Accommodations
RV and car camping is available on the paved parking area at Mt. Bachelor on Friday night (there are no designated camping areas) with an overnight use fee paid directly through Mt. Bachelor. There are no other lodging options at Mt. Bachelor. Many other camping options exist at nearby campgrounds, sno parks and resorts along Cascade Lakes Hwy recreation corridor. The nearest lodging is in Bend, 20 minutes away.

Weather
Check the latest local weather HERE from the National Weather Service. Be advised, the event takes place in a mountain environment, where weather conditions can be harsh and/or change rapidly especially above mid-mountain elevations.
Mandatory Gear
Depending on the weather forecast predicted for race day, we may implement a gear requirement to ensure participant safety if cold and/or wet weather is predicted.
Post Race Celebration!
Stay and enjoy Mt. Bachelor while we cheer on the race finishers, eat some tasty food and beverages!
Awards
All podium finishers are recognized at an awards ceremony and receive an award commemorating their achievement.
All participants receive a sweet custom award as they finish their race.
A raffle of some amazing sponsor swag will be held while runners are out on the course! Prizes will be given to raffle winners as they finish their race.
